Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Posted in Travel by matt on Saturday, January 23, 2010

Oh ya. Um. So Cayla and I went to Vietnam awhile ago.

I know, I know. This is starting to seem like a lame travel blog (as opposed to a lame personal blog).

But put yourself in my shoes: you’ve got free time, and you find dirt-cheap plane tickets to a unique and exotic country that you may never be able to visit again. Not to mention you know you’ve only got about 5 more months in SE Asia.

You know you’d be travelin’ =D

We landed in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) 2 hours late, but our faithful pick-up guy had waited the whole time. He took us to our hotel, they gave us a map, and off we went to explore the city.

In my opinion, the city was like Bangkok’s cleaner, less-interesting cousin. It was getting out of the city that we enjoyed. So we booked 2 all-day excursions to see the countryside and enjoy a little clean air.

Instead of going into detail about what all we did, I’ll just direct you to my Flickr feed, where you can read and see simultaneously. Enjoy!
