The Baghdadi Fish Restaurant

Posted in Day-To-Day, Photography by matt on Saturday, November 26, 2011

A few of the guys and I had dinner at a local Baghdadi fish place. The owner is apparently a well-known cook, having cooked for some high-ranking politicians back in the day.

I never know whether or not to pull out my camera in situations like this, but as soon as I asked if I could take photos, they were enthusiastic.

About 2 seconds before this shot, this guy was actually kissing the fish. Too slow…

The fish fire-stoker wanted to pose with me.

Then, after kissing his fish, he insisted on taking a picture with me. After snapping a couple shots together, he yelled something to his friend in Arabic who then translated: “He wants to you tell Obama hello. He likes him very much.”
