"Thanks and thanks again to Him who offers to the man whom the sorrows of life have assaulted and left naked–offers to him the fig leaf of the Word with which he can cover his wretchedness." -Søren Kierkegaard

Mississippi Wedding Weekend

Posted in Day-To-Day, Friends by matt on Tuesday, August 17, 2010

I’m a big fan of being a 20-something for one major reason: the weddings.

We spent the weekend celebrating a wedding with friends from Bangkok, and there’s nothing quite like good friends at a wedding. Cayla always says there are 2 things people can universally get excited about: weddings and new babies.

It’s really true, because we barely knew more than 3 or 4 of the 500+ people at this wedding, but it didn’t matter. We were all there for the same reason, and that commonality made for a great party.

We stayed with an incredibly gracious family with a lake for a backyard, so the water sports managed to make an awesome weekend even better.

We’ve also picked up a few more supporters, caught up with old friends, and now we’re spending time with family in Houston. Praise God for such a great trip!

Hop over here for a few more shots from our weekend.
