Starry (Date) Night
Last night Cayla and I resuscitated the beloved weekly ritual known as “date night.” We spent 12+ months away from family and friends, so we both decided to spend a lot of our time up front playing catch-up. That means less “us” time and more “them” time. Not a bad thing, but we’re still looking for equilibrium on all this time management stuff.
Regardless, all you single guys better listen up because there’s never, ever a good reason to stop setting aside time with your wife. It may be every day, it may not. Either way you should have time to focus on one another.
In order to avoid sounding patronizing I’ll just leave it at that. I’m way too new to the married life to be handing out advice.
Oh ya. So earlier this week Cayla found an advertisement for the G’nosh interactive art studio. We made reservations for the “Starry Night” class last Friday since that’s one of our favorite paintings.
At first I wasn’t so sure. I’m really not all that artsy, but it didn’t matter. We had a great time painting and following the instructor (and both of our paintings actually kinda sorta resemble Van Gogh’s).
Here are the before and after shots from an awesome date night:
Well done, guys. So they offer classes for this kind of stuff? Count me in.
Beats having a Trigun wall scroll to hang up…. right Jon?
Yeah, between Vash and Jon’s ninja star collection we didn’t have much going for us.
lovely art work!
Thanks!
