Loving Limbo
One of my favorite things about adventure is the process.
I like the stuff that happens between A and B because it’s formative.
It’s the part where we flash a toothy grin and flex because we know bigger muscles are right around the corner.
So those of you out there who have big goals and an even bigger climb before you reach them – think about the journey.
If you can’t enjoy it for what it is then maybe you’re not on the right track.
And I’m not talking about that health-and-wealth garbage. There will be struggles and pain, but I also believe God wants us to enjoy our life-pursuits as they honor Him and reflect His heart.
This is mostly a reminder to myself since Cayla and I are in an awkward limbo right now.
We have no home, no jobs, and seemingly endless amounts of question marks to dispel. But all the uncertainty that goes with raising support and moving to Iraq shouldn’t hinder our enjoyment of the process.
Just because we can’t see a distant finish line doesn’t mean there aren’t good things to be enjoyed right in front of our faces.
I’m feeling the “limbo” right now too…and was recently reminded of why I’m here…and why I need to keep pushing forward…good luck on your journey. Miss you both. A lot.
Miss you too, Angel. It’ll be great to see you – won’t be long now!
