A Coup
For those of you responsible world-citizens who watch the news, you’ll know there is a coup underway here in lovely Bangkok. Tuesday morning a mob (yes, quite literally a mob) gathered, marched, broke into a TV station, busted some dude up in the process, and took over some other government building.
They’re demanding that the current prime minister leave office and, preferably, the country too. School was cancelled yesterday (Tuesday), today, and will be cancelled tomorrow. Riots and mobs have provided a bittersweet little holiday for myself and the other teachers.
So…while political instability rages I’ve decided to catch up on laundry and email. Heck I’ve even enjoyed playing computer games and sleeping in.

I am sure that your mom will love to hear of riots and mobs taking place. I hope this doesn’t cut into your “tutoring” sessions, which consist of dominating a little kid in video games.
so. did you join the “mob”?
Woody:
Dude no fair. I definitely help prepare him for his exam on ‘ing’ verbs. We ALWAYS speak in the present progressive while we play.
Criner:
No, but I really wanted to head down and take pictures. I’m sure that would’ve made mom really happy, lol.
I was praying for you on the day this all broke out. praying for your safety. :)
