"Thanks and thanks again to Him who offers to the man whom the sorrows of life have assaulted and left naked–offers to him the fig leaf of the Word with which he can cover his wretchedness." -Søren Kierkegaard

Moving

Posted in Day-To-Day by matt on Tuesday, May 13, 2008

What little I owned in this apartment is now inside my truck.

And, as if that wasn’t sad enough, last night I had to say goodbye to some of the most amazing people I know. Ian, Angel, Becky, Doug, both the Daves, Blake, Christin, Audrey, and others. I’m grateful for four years and I’m excited about new stuff that’s coming, but I’ve realized that this is the first place I ever had meaningful relationships outside my family (apart from Lauren).

Bummer.

But! By God’s grace I have a basic understanding of how to pursue people and how to build relationships that matter for the sake of the Gospel. This is the most important thing I learned at Baylor.

Thanks all of you for sharing your life with me. I’m particularly grateful to have such friends despite my bluntness and ‘cynicism’ =). I love you all very much.

He is worthy,

matt
